Yes, you guessed it.
Drumroll, please George.

Our Pontiac Vibe! Aka the Rebadged Corolla Matrix Hatchback.
My wife really loves the car, which makes me happy. It definitely feels solid and does exactly as advertised: drive places with people and stuff. Fuel economy hits around 30 mpgs mixed, and has been overall trouble-free after 10k miles since purchase. It’s nice to finally own a car where everything actually works. And it doesn’t leak water somewhere like all my 35-year old cars. Hopefully soon GM will remove our takata airbag though.

Yes, I did buy Cilantro from the Winco last night. Winco: your source of fresh French Toast Bagels and cilantro.

I called Toyota of Kirkland about the airbag on the Corrolla. They couldn’t even give me a time line. Yet Toyota keeps sending letters telling us to get it replaced...

GM was straight up like, “This could kill you, but we don’t have the parts to replace it yet. So ahhhhh we’ll keep in touch, ‘kay?”

It has the same steering wheel as a Celica from the same time period.
So, this is actually another post about the Toyota Celica.

Hey. No need to punish me.

Pretty much.

You’re right: the steering wheel is in fact the same as in the Toyota
COROLLA.
It may surprise you to know that the
COROLLA
of that gen was closely related to the Pontiac Vibe!

New rule: for every five posts you make, only one can be celica and only one can be puppy.

yes - but did you see the cool palm trees they put in at Toyota of Kirkland? It’s almost like a tropical vacation....

I’ve been thinking about picking one of these up for a commuter car. However, I’m quite tall and haven’t been able to try one on for “size”. Does it seem spacious at all in the drivers seat? I know this is a tough question for non-skyscraping folks.
